DIY Peach Prize Ball | The Sweetest Occasion

We’re already planning my niece’s birthday party for March and when I came across this DIY I thought it would be a fantastic alternative to the normal goodie bags! All you have to do is get some little toys, chocolates, etc. and then start wrapping them with crepe paper strips. It’s like your own personal little pass the parcel! You could adapt this for older kids too - think small jewelry items, chocolates, key chains - anything small and easy to wrap. Wouldn’t this be a great way to propose to someone, with the engagement ring wrapped in the middle?!

DIY: Valentine’s Day Friendship Bracelets

sunset-vine:

I ran across this website and have absolutely fallen in love with the idea of Valentine’s day friendship bracelets! Now, I know that there still is a good amount of time between now and the 14th… but that just means you can make more bracelets!! Its perfect for kids, teens, and a sweet gesture for us big kids too. Find out more about this DIY and see all these pictures here!

I really love these Valentine Arrows, but I’m not sure what I’d use them for.
Hmm…brainstorming time.

Notebook Lined Tee | Say Yes! To Hoboken
Well Summer holidays are almost over (well, here anyway!) so I thought there might be some folks out there who would like to make this for a little one who will be going back or even starting. My niece starts school this year - yikes! I feel so old. In fact, I would probably wear this tshirt too. You could even write something on the shirt. Cute!

Pillowcase Top | How Joyful
I have gotten a few requests lately for simple sewing projects - well this is as simple as it gets! And with the super hot weather here at the moment, this would be lovely and cool to wear. The great thing about this project is that you can either use a patterend pillowcase or you can use a plain one and tizzy it up.

Giant Paper Flowers | Green Wedding Shoes
Normally I would think that giant paper flowers were super tacky but I love these as props for your wedding photos! They could even be used in an outdoor wedding - make a few and stick them in the ground around the venue (if you’re allowed) for an Alice In Wonderland-esque Wedding!

DIY Beyond Easy Textured Polymer Beads. Tutorial from Jibby and Juna here. *She uses a “tissue blade” which I’ve mentioned in other posts is extremely sharp - you used to only be able to get them from medical supply companies because they were/are used to… slice tissue, so please be careful! EDIT: Comment from need-want-love said: I could see an xacto knife doing the same job, and it’d probably be a bit safer.

DIY Duvet Cover with Custom Artwork. In this case a child’s artwork. Love this project using fabric felt tip pens. Tutorial from A Thousand Words here. *Use cheap white sheets to make the duvetcover.
